
Gabrielle Farrah-Director, Producer, and Dramaturg
Gabby is a New York-based director from Boston, Massachusetts.
She has directed and developed work at Playwrights Horizons, The Mercury Store, Workshop Theater, New Georges, Smith College, Eggtooth Production, The Shea Theatre, CitySpace Easthampton, Commonwealth School, and MAD House.
She has assisted for directors including Daniel Aukin, Tina Satter, Mark Wing-Davey, and Will Davis at institutions such as Playwrights Horizons, Clubbed Thumb, Page 73, NYU Grad Acting, New York Theatre Workshop Next Door, and PlayCo.
Gabby is a former Directing Fellow at Playwrights Horizons and Producing Fellow at Clubbed Thumb. She received her BA from Smith College where she was given the Samuel A. Eliot/Julia Heflin Prize for Distinguished Directing.

In a full-circle moment, Gabby assisted Tina Satter on Agnes Borinsky's The Trees, which was a co-production between Playwrights Horizons and Page 73.
Gabby directed Unrest in the Symbol Department by James La Bella for Rule of 7x7 at The Tank on January 14th.
In the fall, Gabby assisted Daniel Aukin on Catch as Catch Can by Mia Chung at Playwrights Horizons. Helen Shaw of The New Yorker called it "perfection" and mentioned it in her "Most Memorable Theatrical Moments of 2022."
Gabby is a Robert Moss Directing Fellow at Playwrights Horizons for the 2022-23 Season.
In early July, Gabby concluded her time as the 2021-22 Producing Fellow at Clubbed Thumb.
In mid-July, Gabby went up to Hanover, NH to workshop Elise Wien's new play, Osher and the Infinite Curtain, at Dartmouth College as part of VoxLab.
In May, Gabby assisted Will Davis on California by Trish Harnetiaux, the first show of Clubbed Thumb's 25th Annual Summerworks Festival.
In March, Gabby assisted Mark Wing-Davey on Mike Bartlett's King Charles III at NYU Tisch Grad Acting.
Gabby directed Maggie Wilson's A Mice Infestation for PlayGround-NY this November. More info here.
In October, Gabby directed Jacob Marx Rice's Six Weeks for PlayGround-NY. It received the Peoples' Choice Award for that month, and will be featured as part of the "Best of PlayGround" evening in the Spring.
This August Gabby directed Mike Bartlett's An Intervention presented by MAD House and Eggtooth Productions, which reopened the Shea Theater in Turner's Falls, MA.
